EMILY GEORGE/ S.J. SHORT writes female-centric mysteries, from sweet and cozy to dark and twisty. She is the author of the Cannabis Cafe Mystery series, the debut of which received starred reviews from Library Journal and First Clue, and the page-turning psychological suspense novel, The Young Widows. Originally from Australia, she now resides in Toronto Canada, where she was a writer in residence with the Toronto Public Library. When she’s not figuring out creative ways to fictionally kill people she enjoys knitting, baking, playing video games, and listening to true crime podcasts.
